Some weddings just feel like the couple, relaxed, real, a little bit silly, and full of the kind of love that’s grown quietly over time. That was Patricia and Chris at Glasshaus Brücke.

It was one of those warm Melbourne days, not just in the weather, but in the people. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the whole day felt intimate, easy, and full of genuine moments. And alongside the legends at Together Right Now capturing photos, it all came together so effortlessly.

Their story started in the most modern way, a Hinge match, kicked off by a very important question: hard or soft shell tacos? (For the record, soft shell forever.)

Their first date was meant to be frozen yogurt, but after a rough day, drinks at a bar made a lot more sense. Chris thought Trish was an absolute cutie. Trish thought he looked too serious and didn’t hug her, so clearly he wasn’t interested. That dynamic? Still very much alive today.

Then lockdown hit, and instead of drifting apart, they leaned in. Becoming each other’s “person” through it all, cooking questionable meals, watching countless movies, and building something real in the in-between moments.

Because that’s what their love is built on. Not grand gestures, but the small, everyday things. Morning coffees. The “love you more” competitions. The inside jokes. The random animal comparisons. The kind of love that just makes sense when you’re in it.

Of course, there were big moments too, snow trips, overseas adventures, hiking mountains (sometimes in questionable footwear), and eventually, a proposal that came with a familiar theme.

“Up until today, the most important question I’ve asked you was hard or soft shell tacos… but I think I can top that.”

He did. (After being on one knee long enough to earn a sore knee, apparently.)

What stood out most on the day wasn’t just their story, but how they see each other. The way Chris brings lightness and laughter. The way Trish brings warmth and grounding. The way they balance each other without even trying.

At the heart of it, they don’t take life too seriously, and they get to walk through it with their best friend.
