Elisa and Adam’s story started with a simple swipe on Hinge. Their first date happened during Ramadhan, sharing iftar together at Stalactites in the Melbourne CBD. Adam thought the date went well… Elisa wasn’t so sure at first! But they kept talking, met up a few more times, and after a few months they officially started their relationship.
Like many couples during that time, their relationship grew through the COVID lockdowns as each other’s “bubble buddy.” From playing tennis and exploring new cafes to spending evenings gaming together (with plenty of Stardew Valley during lockdown), their connection continued to grow naturally.
Fast forward to 2024, Adam planned a meaningful proposal at Carlton Gardens — the same place where he first asked Elisa to be his girlfriend. After dinner along Lygon Street, the rain finally cleared and they went for a walk through the gardens. Standing by the fountains in front of the beautiful Royal Exhibition Building, Adam got down on one knee and popped the question. Elisa said yes.
Their wedding day was centred around a traditional Malaysian nikah ceremony — intimate, meaningful, and filled with family and culture. Elisa looked forward most to their first look, while Adam couldn’t wait for the moment he would join Elisa on the pelamin after the Ijab & Qabul.
With loved ones travelling from across the world, the day wasn’t just about celebrating their marriage, but also sharing their traditions with family and friends who had never experienced a Malaysian nikah before.
As a Melbourne wedding videographer, it was such a privilege capturing Elisa and Adam’s story. Their day was warm, heartfelt, and deeply personal — exactly the kind of celebration we love to document through Melbourne wedding videography and Muslim wedding videography, preserving every meaningful moment for years to come. ✨
