IMMERSE WINERY || KIAH & TASH

Some love stories begin with fireworks and grand romantic gestures. Kiah & Tash’s started a little differently — at work in 2019 in Dandenong.
Fast forward a few years, and Tash finally got down on one knee at Churchill Island in Phillip Island — the same place they had their first date. In true Tash fashion, the proposal involved an elaborate plan with friends, a fake family emergency involving a child who supposedly got sick in the car, and a carefully orchestrated excuse to get Kiah back to a place filled with memories. As they sat together overlooking the horses and the ocean, Tash proposed, and Kiah happily said yes.
When they're not planning their wedding, you'll usually find these two at home with their dog, watching crime shows, building Lego sets, and snacking their way through the evening. They're self-confessed homebodies and enthusiastic collectors of vintage market treasures, despite running out of room for them long ago.
Choosing their wedding venue was surprisingly easy. After visiting only a couple of venues, they instantly knew that Immerse Winery in the Yarra Valley was the one. The gardens, the relaxed atmosphere, the accommodation on-site, the wine, and even the pork belly entrée all helped seal the deal. More importantly, it felt like them — laid-back, welcoming, and focused on having a great time with the people they love.
For Kiah, one of the most anticipated moments of the day will come later in the evening when the dance floor fills up and everyone starts to let loose. For Tash, it's seeing Kiah at the ceremony and finally watching all the planning come together. Well, that and sneaking in a game of Mario Kart while everyone gets ready.
What I love most about Kiah & Tash's vision is that they want their wedding to feel like one big party. Their focus isn't on traditions or formalities — it's on creating a fun, relaxed experience where guests can eat, drink, laugh, dance, and genuinely enjoy themselves. From a witness lottery and T-shirt toss to live illustrations for guests and a dedicated minute for everyone to snap photos before putting their phones away, every part of the day has been designed to bring people together.
As a wedding videographer, these are the celebrations I love capturing. The ones that prioritise connection, personality, and genuine moments over perfection. Their day at Immerse Winery is shaping up to be full of laughter, happy chaos, and unforgettable memories — exactly the kind of story that makes wedding videography so rewarding.
