Some couples just radiate joy—and Sarah & Josh are one of those pairs. From the moment you’re in their company, you realise they’re more than just fun to be around. They’re the kind of couple that truly gets each other. Their energy is infectious, their connection is effortless, and it was a genuine privilege to be part of the day that celebrated the start of their forever.

Their story? It kicked off in true classic Aussie fashion: a midweek night out in Bendigo.

It was the 19th of June, 2018—Sarah’s best mate’s birthday, a bottle of wine, and an empty nightclub (thanks to uni exam week). What was supposed to be a quiet night turned into one of those unexpectedly memorable evenings. Josh, who’d had a rough day at work, thought a few drinks and a dance might cheer him up. What he didn’t expect was to meet the love of his life—right after accidentally fly-kicking her across the dancefloor during an overly enthusiastic breakdancing move.

Yep, that was their meet-cute. And from that hilariously awkward moment, something real started.

The two bonded over dance moves, laughter, and what we now know was the beginning of something pretty special. Josh was drawn to Sarah’s confidence and charm (and of course, her robot shuffle skills). Sarah was taken by Josh’s sense of humour, warm energy, and those dancefloor antics.

Fast forward to their wedding at Belvoir Park Estate, and it all just made sense.

Set among rolling vineyards and with a relaxed, homey feel, the venue was a perfect reflection of Sarah & Josh’s style—laid-back, vibrant, and full of warmth. The cocktail-style reception encouraged mingling, laughter, and lots of dancing (naturally). The couple created an atmosphere that truly felt like a reflection of who they are: open-hearted, genuine, and always up for a good time.

One of the most touching moments of the day was the private first look before the ceremony. Sarah, a self-proclaimed crier, wanted a quiet moment with Josh to soak everything in—just the two of them before the whirlwind of the day began. It was beautiful, emotional, and set the tone for everything that followed.

Josh, meanwhile, was hanging out for the dance floor—and with good reason. That’s where their story started, after all. And when it came time for the first married boogie, they hit the floor with the same carefree energy they shared that very first night.

Throughout the day, what stood out wasn’t just how much fun everyone was having—it was how loved these two are by their community. From the laughs during speeches to the endless hugs on the dance floor, it was clear that Sarah & Josh are surrounded by people who adore them just as much as they adore each other.

In Josh’s eyes, Sarah is perfection. And to Sarah, Josh is her calm, her rock—her home. As she beautifully put it, “We are each other’s home, and we will always come back to home.”
