Lauren & Ben, From Dancefloor to “I Do” 🤍

Some love stories don’t start with a grand plan, they start on a dancefloor. For Lauren and Ben, it was Christmas Eve back in 2009 at Ringers. They already knew of each other from high school, but that night turned into the beginning of something that would grow into a family, a home, and now, a wedding day worth celebrating.

Fast forward to January 2020, after a few weeks travelling in a camper van, Ben proposed in Sydney Harbour Bridge. A simple, meaningful moment at the end of an adventure, very much their style.

These days, life looks a little different (and a lot busier). With their two girls, Hadley and Elle, most weekends are spent at parks, grabbing babycinos, or working on their Yarraville weatherboard home, a labour of love, mostly led by Ben. It’s a life built on the little things, and that’s exactly what made their wedding feel so genuine.

Their ceremony took place at the stunning Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, lush greenery, soft light, and space to just breathe it all in. As a Melbourne wedding videographer, it’s one of those locations that always delivers, but more importantly, it suited them perfectly. Relaxed, natural, and full of beautiful moments.

From there, the celebration moved to The Trust Melbourne, a venue full of character, history, and a slightly different feel to the usual wedding spaces. It was the perfect backdrop for what they wanted most: a proper celebration with their favourite people.

When asked what they were most looking forward to, they couldn’t pick just one moment, and honestly, that says everything. The first look. Becoming a family under one name. And of course, a big party with everyone they love. That energy carried through the entire day.

One of the most special parts? Their daughters, Hadley and Elle, as flower girls, right at the heart of it all. And the quiet, meaningful moments too, like time spent with Lauren’s grandparents, Adrian and Marianne. These are the moments that matter, the ones that shape the story.

As a Melbourne wedding videographer, days like Lauren and Ben’s are what it’s all about. Not over-the-top or staged, but real, fun, and full of connection. A wedding that feels like them, a mix of family, history, and a good dancefloor moment to bring it all back to where it started.

If you’re looking for Melbourne wedding videography that captures the day as it actually felt, this is exactly the kind of story we love to tell. 🤍
